About the roles...
We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers for a number of positions within our customer focused Nextt team, which will provide individualised supports, designed, supported and guided by behavioural specialists. If you have extensive experience working with complex needs, dual diagnosis and you enjoy assisting your participant overcome hurdles and achieve their goals, then we’d love to hear from you!
Working in Geelong, duties include providing direct support in the community and in home, assisting clients with the development of skills for independent living and supporting clients to learn to manage difficult behaviours. The right candidates will be able to provide consistent communication and routine, manage their own personal emotions in a range of situations and work well as a member of a competent and supported team.
We are looking for...
Successful candidates will:
- Have a minimum of a Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health or related Community Services AND paid experience in the field. Consideration will be given to applicants with extensive experience and can provide evidence of skills and abilities gained in a “hands on capacity”.
- Understand behaviours of concern and have worked with people with highly complex support needs
- Like working in a team where ideas are shared to achieve the best results
- Can respond to situations quickly and consistently
- Are passionate about community inclusion and skill development
- Are reliable, professional and committed
- Are looking for a role to provide challenge and professional growth
